I became a nurse in 1987 (please don’t do the math), but it was a while ago. I attended Iowa Methodist School in Des Moines, and I received my Diploma RN degree. Prior to that, I attended Ellsworth Community College for two years, and graduated with an AA degree. I have seen a lot of changes in medicine and wanted to look at different approaches. My background has been in a multitude of areas, including medical/surgical, ER, OB, hospice, clinic internal medicine, nursing home, and assisted living.

I had the privilege of working with Melanie in the ER, and I have watched her grow this practice into what it is today. I always told her I wanted to come along someday and take part in her journey. As time and opportunity allowed, I was able to join this amazing team. I like it that we use a more holistic approach, and we focus on the best care possible with an individualized plan and are treated like family. When I am not working, I try to spend time with my family. I am blessed to have my mother, sister and her family, along with my beautiful daughters, Amanda and Bethany, and our dogs here in Iowa. I love to be outside, kayak, and observe nature. I look forward to meeting new and current patients, and I can’t wait to see where we go!
